Riverside Community
The local Riverside area offers many things to do:
UCR Botanical Gardens. Nestled in the foothills of the Box Springs Mountains on the east side of the University of California, Riverside Campus, the Gardens cover 40 hilly acres. Wander over four miles of scenic trails or just relax on a bench and enjoy the beauty.
California Citrus State Historical Park. The park preserves some of the rapidly vanishing cultural landscape of the citrus industry and tells the story of this industry's role in the history and development of California.
Castle Park. A historic amusement park in Riverside offering free admission. Ride tickets and game tokens can be purchased inside the park.
Galleria at Tyler. Shopping mall with JCPenny, Macy's, and Nordstrom as anchor stores.
Mission Inn. A historic landmark encompassing an entire city block in the heart of downtown Riverside. This historic inn offers tours, restaurants, shops, Sunday brunch and Kelly's Day Spa.
Riverside Arts Council. Visit their website for information on local museums, Thursday's Art Walk, stores and restaurants.
Riverside Community Players. A "theatre-in-the-round", with 183 seats surrounding the stage, the Riverside Community Players delivers an intimate theater experience!
Performance Riverside. Located in the Landis Performing Arts Center, Performance Riverside, is the resident, professional musical theatre company for the Riverside Community College District producing and presenting quality musical theatre at affordable prices.
Victoria Gardens. A high-end, outdoor, shopping mall with a Macy's, JCPenny, AMC Theatre and many high-end retails stores.
